Welcome to Singles League Racing

We're Back! After unfortunately having had to cancel the 2021 race season due to the pandemic, Singles League Racing will again be doing what its name says we should be doing, with a full calendar of ski/snowboard racing for 2022.

The ski race teams from the three Bay Area Singles League clubs meet to race in the Lake Tahoe area a number of times from January to March 2022 in the spirit of fun and friendly Alpine competition. See our complete 2022 schedule. We hold Slalom and Giant Slalom races for both skiers and snowboarders.

At the end of our race season, we normally celebrate the close of racing with our annual "Racey Affair" on the North Shore of Lake Tahoe, to hand out awards for individuals and clubs and to have a fun night out. Whether we can hold it this season will need to be assesed and announced later in view of the ongoing pandemic.

At the end of the season, many of our racers compete in a championship weekend, the Far West Championships (this year to be held at Mammoth Mountain) racing against Far West member leagues from Oregon to Southern California.

The Good...
The schedule for 2022 is now posted.
We have a system for sending text alerts to cell phones to notify racers of last minute race cancellations, etc. You can sign up for this via a link on the registration page.

Ever thought about ski racing?

Think it's something only for the expert-level competitive athletes? Well think again. Our club-level racing league is aimed at all levels of skiers and snowboarders, from total beginners up to experienced racers. We race in classes covering 11 skill levels, and arrange a number of training clinics throughout the season, including beginner race training for the first timers. Sure there's a good competitive side if that's what you want, but really it's all about having fun. And it's a great way to improve your skiing.

We do allow guest drop-ins to compete in each race (for a small fee) so that could be an option if you just want to give it a try or can't commit to a full season.

If you think you might be interested in giving it a try, take a look at the clubs page and contact one in your area. If you simply want to drop in and race as a guest then you should register yourself via the guest registration page and then turn up (early) on the race day, but if you've never raced before then we would really recommend talking to one of the club race directors first.
