Welcome to Singles League Racing

The ski race teams from the five Bay Area Singles League clubs meet in the Lake Tahoe area eight times from January to March 2012 in the spirit of fun and friendly Alpine competition. See our complete 2012 schedule. We hold Slalom and Giant Slalom races, and one Super-G, for both skiers and snowboarders.

At the end of the season, we celebrate the close of racing with our annual "Racey Affair" on the North Shore of Lake Tahoe to hand out awards for individuals and clubs and to have a fun night out.

Finally, many or our racers compete in two championship weekends, the Norcal Championships, where we race against fellow Northern California Ski Leagues (Open League and Sierra League), and the Far West Championships (this year to be held at Alpine Meadows) racing against Far West member leagues from Oregon to Southern California.

We plan to have a great season in Tahoe and hope to see you there!

1/18/2012:
After cancellation of the Jan 7/8 Squaw races due to the lack of snow, Open League have generously agreed to let us do a joint race with them at Northstar as a make-up on February 11th/12th. See the updated schedule.

The January 21st/22nd Northstar races are cancelled due to the coming storm.
11/20/2011:
Online registration for the 2012 season is now open!

Note that all league racers need to use the online registration system to register to race.

Drop-in guests don't absolutely need to register online - if you like getting up early to stand in line then you can do it on race day, but if you pre-register it makes things simpler for us and for you on race day.

The Good...

Ever thought about ski racing?

Think its something only for the expert-level competitive athletes? Well think again. Our club-level racing league is aimed at all levels of skiers and snowboarders, from total beginners up to experienced racers. We race in classes covering 11 skill levels, and arrange a number of training clinics throughout the season, including beginner race training for the first timers. Sure there's a good competitive side if that's what you want, but really its all about having fun. And its a great way to improve your skiing.

We do allow guest drop-ins to compete in each race (for a small fee) so that could be an option if you just want to give it a try or can't commit to a full season.

If you think you might be interested in giving it a try, take a look at the clubs page and contact one in your area.
