Singles League Racing rulebook
There are no rule changes this season, but be aware of these changes from the last couple of seasons
that are not yet reflected in the rules document referenced below:
-
There is a new Super Vet class for racers of 65 years or older.
-
Start ordering for all classes will be Super-Vet Women, Super-Vet Men, Vet Women, Vet Men, Open Women, Open Men.
-
The date from which age categories are applied is changed from November 1st to
December 1st
(an FWRA rule change).
-
There will be no mandatory collapsing of classes (but see next point).
-
To allow vet racers to choose to run in the open category in the spirit of competition
(i.e. where there are very few vets in a class) without prejudicing
their choice of class for the finals, a vet racer will be allowed to register as a vet
(necessary if the racer wants to run as a vet in the finals) and then select to compete
in the open category of their class in Singles League. Similarly Super Vets can choose to
compete in vet or open in Singles League when registering as a Super Vet.
-
Only classes S8 and below will now have their results based on "best-of-two" runs
- for S7 and above it will be combined times from the two runs.
-
The class groupings on the courses are changed to:
Expert course: S0-S4,
Advanced course: SB6,S5-S7,
Intermediate course: SB8,S8-S10
